Are you looking to build a sustainable future with your community in a fun and interesting way?
Join Kevin Sutton, Transition Guelph and Musagetes for a spoken word performance and Page-2-Stage workshop. Let’s weave together our stories about the relationship we want with food, nature and each other. Let’s inspire a system of trust from the heart.
Together we will compose and perform spoken word poetry that reflects our vision. We all have different and important perspectives. The attitude and skills we need to collaborate creatively mirror those we will need to realize a sustainable community. What can our story be once we’ve moved towards a deeper understanding of each other?
Don’t consider yourself a poet? No problem. As an experienced spoken word workshop facilitator, Kevin will help you find your voice and bring it to life.
Intimidated by public speaking? Not to worry. Performing in groups will not only take the pressure off, but will also inspire acceptance and understanding.
We are prepared to welcome up to 40 participants. Please come prepared with a reusable water bottle. The workshop is free, and the location is wheelchair accessible.
Poetry Potluck is an artistic project inspired by the Guelph-Wellington Rural-Urban Program, a research initiative by Musagetes and Cohabitation Strategies.
